After standout performances last week, Brooke Burd of women's basketball and Lamar Lovelace of men's basketball were named Wolves of the Week.
Brooke Burd – Women's Basketball
The junior center continued to make an impact on both ends of the floor last week, helping the Wolves earn a pair of wins. She posted a double-double in each game, starting with 11 points and 15 rebounds in a road victory at Buffalo State. Burd followed with 12 points and 10 rebounds in Saturday's win at Hilbert. She has recorded four double-doubles in six games this season and has reached double figures in rebounds in every contest. Burd leads the Empire 8 in rebounding and is tied for the national lead with four double-doubles.
Lamar Lovelace – Men's Basketball
Lamar Lovelace averaged 21.5 points and seven rebounds per game for the Wolves last week. He opened the week with 20 points and seven rebounds against Hobart College, then followed with 23 points and seven boards in Saturday's game at Hilbert College. Lovelace has scored 20 or more points in three of six games this season and is averaging 18 points per game overall.
