KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — Keuka College junior Carlos Fantauzzi was named Empire 8 Player of the Week on Monday.

Fantauzzi recorded a hit in six of seven games this week for the Wolves. He totaled 13 hits for the Green and Gold with six going for extra bases. He had four triples on the week, giving him seven on the season, second-most in program history.

A career game came for Fantauzzi on Saturday night when he had four hits, falling a home run short of the cycle, and drove it a school-record seven runs against Alfred. In total, he drove in 15 runs on the week.

For the season, Fantauzzi leads the Wolves and ranks seventh in the Empire 8 with a .356 batting average. He leads the Wolves in both runs scored and runs batted in. Fantauzzi ranks fourth in the conference with 31 RBIs this season.

Fantauzzi and the Wolves are back on the field on Tuesday afternoon with a doubleheader at Clarks Summit University. The Wolves will then look to play on Kuhl Field for the first time this season, hosting Russell Sage College over the weekend.
