KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — Keuka College Baseball's outfielder
Evan Cuba was named Third Team All-Empire 8 Conference on Wednesday.
Cuba had a big impact on the Keuka College Baseball team that returned to the postseason for the first time since 2021. He hit .381 with 40 hits for the Green and Gold. He tied for the team lead with 14 extra-base hits, with eight doubles, three triples, and three home runs. Cuba posted a .600 slugging percentage, tying for seventh-best in program history. His 30 runs batted in led Keuka College. Cuba also showed a good eye at the plate and posted a .477 on-base percentage, also ranking in the top ten for a season in program history. Cuba closed out his season in style with a pair of two-run home runs in the Empire 8 Tournament against Utica. He was the first player to hit two home runs in a postseason game in program history.
Also honored on Wednesday was senior first baseman
Derek Novicki. He was one of nine student-athletes honored by the conference.
Novicki had a career year for the Wolves to close out his tenure at Keuka College. He posted a career-best .393 batting average with a team-leading 46 hits. His batting average ranked in the top ten for a season in program history, as did his on-base percentage of .493, which ranked fifth. For his career, he finished with 120 hits (ninth-most), 26 doubles (t3rd), 74 runs batted in (4th), and 55 walks (2nd).

In addition, they 'compete with honor and integrity' and have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportsmen."
