Both starting pitchers were in control early on Wednesday. The first run came in the bottom of the fifth as Bowdoin hit a solo home run for the 1-0 lead. The Wolves responded in the sixth. Jared Beckley quickly followed that with a 1-2-3 inning as Keuka built the momentum. The Wolves added to their lead in the eight as RJ Murphy doubled and scored on an error to make it 3-1.

Insurance was added in the ninth for the Wolves. The bases were loaded on a Brown single, Seales double, and Tryon intentional walk. With two outs, Devyn Scheidt singled to center to score Brown and Seales and give the Wolves the 5-1 advantage.
