Box Score ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Keuka College baseball team (5-11, 5-11 E8) lost the single game against Elmira College on Sunday May 2, 2021.
Elmira College 6 vs. Keuka College 5
The Keuka College baseball team would be in a pitching duel for the first 5 innings of the game. Starting pitcher K.C. Howe struck out seven in the first five innings. The Wolves would get on the board first by a loading the bases. RJ Murphy started things off with a single. Teammate Maxwell Yale doubled moving Murphy to third. Nick Brown was hit by a pitch. Ryan Seales singled to left field and scoring is Murphy. Yale would come around to score on a wild pitch to make the score 2-0.
In the bottom of the sixth inning the soaring eagles responded back with adding one and a two run home run making the score 3-2.
The Wolves would respond back in the top of the seventh. Josh Tryon would reach first base on an error and would come around to score off a double form Murphy. Tyron would score on a throwing error and Murphy came all the way around to score off of two throwing miscues taking back the lead 4-3.
Aaron Simons singled down left field and scored on a single from Matt Vaccaro extending the lead 5-3. The Soaring Eagles would threaten in the bottom of the ninth loading the bases with two outs they would tie the game 5-5. They kept pressure on the Keuka's defense and walked off the game 6-5.
Lead Wolf: Freshman catcher RJ Murphy went 3-4 at the plate, had one rbi and scored two runs. His big hit of the day gave the Wolves the advantage over the Soaring Eagles.

- Keuka College is now 5-3 all-time against Elmira College.
- K.C. Howe recorded eight strikeouts and allowed seven hits in 7.2 innings pitched. With the eight strikeouts Ken Howe has 94 strikeouts in his career moving him to fourth passing Michael Duxbury
- RJ Murphy's three hits today was his single season high
