KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The Keuka College (5-10, 5-10 E8) lost the last game of the series with Houghton College on Tuesday April 27, 2021.

Houghton College 12 vs. Keuka College 7

Houghton College would get on the board first with two runs in the first inning. The Wolves would jump back with Aaron Simons starting it off with a single to right field. Nick Brown would follow with a single to right. Ryan Seals put the ball in play to score Simons. Tyler Broderick singled through the left side and scoring is Brown. Josh Tyron would hit a double to the right field fence and coming around to score is Broderick. The Wolves would lead 3-2.

In the bottom of the third inning the Wolves added two more off a double form Matt Vaccaro scoring is Broderick and Ryan Seales who both walked. Making the Wolves lead 5-2.

The highlanders would start to chip away at the Wolves lead in the fourth adding one run and two in fifth tying the game at five. They would extend their lead by four in the sixth making the score 9-5.

The Wolves would add one more in the seventh from a stolen base form Tyron and the Highlanders catcher would over throw third and Tryon would score. The Highlanders would keep adding to their score with a three run homerun in the top of the eighth extending their lead.

 In the bottom of the eighth Nick Kocjan would hit a single through the left side and following is Simons with a single though the right side and Kocjan would go to third. Brown would fly out to right field but scoring is Kocjan making the score 12-7. The Highlanders lead was too far for the Wolves as they took the victory 12-7.

• Keuka College is now 3-7 all-time against Houghton College
• Joe DiBenedetto would make his 38 appearance for the Wolves tying Ryan Lawrence
• Dave Verrett the Keuka College career save leader, made his first career start on the mound for the Wolves. Overall is was his 26 appearance over his five-year career at Keuka.
