Box Score 2 LANCASTER, Pa. – The Keuka College Baseball team dropped a pair to Lancaster Bible College on Saturday, losing 10-2 and 4-3 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference doubleheader.
Keuka College (12-13, 3-5 NEAC) will remain on the road on Sunday as they travel to Washington D.C. face Gallaudet University.
Game 1
Keuka College scored first in Game 1. John Rizzo led the third inning off with a single. He moved to second on a bunt and third on a groundout. Senior Kyle Dailey singled him home for the 1-0 lead.
Lancaster Bible answered with two in the bottom of the inning, but Keuka tied it up in the fifth. Dan Bamann led the inning off with a double and scored on a Billy McDermott sacrifice fly, making it 2-2.
Once again, Lancaster responded in the bottom of the frame. They scored seven runs in the inning to take the lead on their way to a 10-2 victory.
Game 2
The Green and Gold got on the board in the first inning thanks to a Kyle Dailey sacrifice fly, but the Chargers tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the first.
The game remained tied until the fifth inning when Lancaster pushed across three runs for the 4-1 advantage. That scored carried until the seventh inning.
Billy McDermott led the seventh off with an error and Kyle Dailey followed that with a single, moving McDermott to third. He scored on a groundout by Dave Nuzzo. Freshman Tyler Krowiak singled home Dailey, making it 4-3. A pair of flyouts would end the game, however, as Lancaster Bible College defeated Keuka College 4-3, sweeping the doubleheader.
