TROY, N.Y. — The Keuka College Baseball team lost to Russell Sage College 14-5 on Friday in an Empire 8 Conference game played at Troy High School.
Keuka College (5-13, 1-7 Empire 8) was led by
Patrick Altpeter and
Derek Novicki with a pair of hits apiece. Altpeter had a double and RBI for the Wolves while Novicki scored a pair of runs.

The Gators took a 1-0 lead in the third inning, but the Wolves, playing as the home team, answered back in the bottom of the inning.
Mike Dutch led off the inning by getting hit by the pitch. He would progress to third in the inning and scored on an RBI single by
Jay Antinore to tie the game at 1-1.
Things repeated themselves in the fourth as Russell Sage scored a run, but the Wolves answered right back.
Derek Novicki led off the inning with a single for the Green and Gold.
Evan Cuba (Honeoye, N.Y. / Honeoye) followed with a single. The Wolves had the bases loaded with two outs.
Ian Ruhmel worked a walk for the Wolves to tie the game, but Keuka would be limited to just one run.
The game opened up as Russell Sage scored in three of the next four innings to take a 7-2 lead. Keuka pulled one back on a sacrifice fly by
Dan Mrowinski, but Sage scored seven in the ninth to put the game away. Keuka scored two in the bottom of the ninth but the game was in the hands of the Gators as Russell Sage defeated Keuka College 14-5.

Up Next for Keuka College: The series between the Wolves and Gators will continue on Saturday with their Empire 8 doubleheader. The two games will be played at Finger Lakes Community College with first pitch set for noon.
