Keuka College struck right away on Wednesday as Alex Evans led off the game with a single and scored immediately on Patrick Altpeter's second home run of the season.

The 2-0 advantage held for the Green and Gold as Hunter Corkran was in control on the mound. He held the Pioneers scoreless until the fourth when a Utica pushed a run across with two outs.

Keuka quickly responded and widened their lead. Back-to-back singles by Nate Hill and Alex Evans started the rally. Derek Novicki worked a walk to load the bases with two outs. Evan Cuba delivered for the Wolves, hitting it over the right fielder and off the wall to score Hill, Evans, and Novicki, giving the Wolves a 5-1 lead.

Utica scored on a wild pitch and sacrifice fly in the eighth, but a flyout ended the inning with Keuka still ahead by two.
