KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The Keuka College Baseball team got swept by Penn St.-Abington 9-2 and 10-2 on Saturday at Kuhl Field in a North Eastern Athletic Conference doubleheader.

Keuka College (10-8, 2-2 NEAC) is back on the field on Sunday as they host Penn St.-Berks in a conference doubleheader at 12pm.

Game 1

Penn St.-Abington got out to a 5-0 lead over Keuka going into the bottom of the sixth inning. Jake Redding and Kyle Dailey both walked for Keuka. Redding would score from second on an error by Abington to cut the lead to 5-1.

Keuka College made it 5-2 as Dakota Skinner reached first on an infield single, advancing Brett Fenton to third base. Fenton scored as Abington threw the ball away to narrow the margin to three going into the eighth inning.

The Nittany Lions would add three runs in the eighth and another in the ninth on their way to the 9-2 victory.

Game 2

Keuka College took the lead in Game 2 in the third inning. John Rizzo doubled for the Green and Gold. He moved to third on an infield single by Jake Redding and scored when the ball was thrown away for the 1-0 lead.

Penn St.-Abington took a 2-1 lead in the top of the fourth, but Keuka had a response. Tyler Krowiak led the inning off with a double down the left field line. He then moved up to third on a wild pitch and came home when the catcher threw the ball away to tie the game at 2-2.

Keuka College looked to escape the sixth and strand two Nittany Lions runners with two outs, but an error extended the inning. Penn St.-Abington would score seven unearned runs in the frame on their way to the 10-2 victory.
