Box Score 2 The Keuka College baseball team swept a pair of non-conference games from Medaille College Monday, setting a program record for wins in a single-season in the sweep.
The Storm (15-9) won by scores of 2-1 and 8-3 to break the old mark for wins in a season, accomplished by the 2002 and 2003 squads.
In the opener, senior Justyn Schuck (Hammondsport, NY/Hammondsport) was 2-for-2 with two walks, three stolen bases, an RBI and a run scored and classmate Patrick Campbell (Avon, NY/Avon) earned the win by tossing 3 1/3 scoreless innings of relief.

The Storm scored a run in the first as Schuck stole third base and scored on a throwing error.
Medaille tied the game in the bottom of the inning, but the Green and Gold pushed across the eventual game-winning run in the second. With two outs, Dailey doubled, junior Keith Ryan (Fort Myers, Fla./Ave Marie University) walked and Schuck hit an RBI single that plated Dailey.
Campbell relieved junior starter Zach Nobles (Wayland, NY/Wayland-Cohocton) and allowed only three hits. He struck out a pair and did not issue a walk.
Senior Greg Starks (Wellsville, NY/Andover) tossed a scoreless 1 2/3 innings of relief before junior Dan Smith (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Forks) earned his first save by striking out two in a scoreless seventh.
In the nightcap, sophomore Billy McDermott (Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights) was 3-for-3 with two RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base and Schuck was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a stolen base as the Storm completed the sweep.
Junior Jon Borchert (Upper Arlington, Ohio/Upper Arlington) drove in three runs and was 3-for-4 while senior Jeremy Pyszczynski (Alden, NY/St. Mary's) improved to 3-2 with another stellar outing.
Pyszczynski allowed three runs (two earned) with no walks and a career-high 12 strikeouts in the complete-game win.
McDermott and Borchert each had RBI singles during a four-run first inning, and McDermott added another RBI single in the second to stake the Storm to a 5-0 lead.
Medaille scored a run in the second, third and fourth innings to claw within 5-3, but Borchert delivered a two-run single in the sixth and Keuka College tacked on an unearned run in the seventh to pull away.
The Storm host Alfred State in a 2 p.m. non-conference doubleheader Thursday afternoon.
