Borchert and McVannan each had RBI singles in the third and McDermott had an RBI single and Ryan plated a run on a groundout as Keuka pushed across two more runs in the top of the fourth.

Leading 6-3 heading into the fifth, Ryan drove home a run when he reached on an error and senior Justyn Schuck (Hammondsport, NY/Hammondsport) coaxed a two-out, bases loaded walk to extend the lead to 8-3.

After adding a run in the sixth, Keuka struck for three more in the seventh, keyed by RBI singles from McDermott and Borchert.

The Highlanders pulled within 12-6 with three runs in the bottom of the inning, but Keuka tacked on two runs in the eighth and had 14 hits in winning its fourth straight.

The Storm continue their season-opening road trip with a non-conference doubleheader against Wilkes (Pa.) University at 1 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
