Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

GAME ONE BOXSCORE GAME TWO BOXSCORE
Sophomore Jon Borchert (Upper Arlington, OH/Upper Arlington) equaled the Keuka College record for home runs in a season and the Storm swept Hilbert College Thursday afternoon on Kuhl Field to complete the most successful season in seven years.

Borchert and senior Keith Prestano (Queens, NY/Xaverian) each blasted three-run home runs during a 9-2, game one win, and junior Jeremy Pyszczynski (Alden, NY/St. Mary's) recorded his first career shutout during a 7-0 win in the season finale.

On the day, Borchert batted 6-for-8 with six RBI and four runs scored. With his home run, Borchert matched Frank Saccone's (2002) school record of seven home runs. Borchert, who already has the single-season RBI record, also broke the school mark for total bases in a season with 82.

Borchert finished the season batting a team-best .393 with 7 home runs, 42 RBI and 11 doubles. He compiled the third-highest batting average in school history as Keuka (12-19) won the most games in a season since 2006.

Tied at one entering the bottom of the fifth of the first game, the Storm scored five runs, highlighted by Borchert's two-run single and Prestano's towering three-run homer that easily cleared the left field fence.

Borchert finished the scoring for Keuka by blasting a three-run shot to left field in the sixth and junior Kyle McVannan (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) made the lead stand. McVannan allowed two runs (one earned) on 10 hits with four strikeouts and no walks to improve to 3-6.

In the nightcap, Borchert staked Keuka to a 1-0 lead on a first-inning RBI single and sophomore Conner Anderson (Missoula, MT/Sentinel) drove in two runs on a fourth-inning single as Keuka scored four runs to pull away for good.

Freshman Billy McDermott (Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights) added an RBI single and sophomore Dylan Campbell (Bethesda, Md./Walter Johnson) added an RBI groundout for the Storm, who closed the year winning nine of their last 12 games.

Pyszczynski improved to 3-3 after allowing only seven hits with no walks and four strikeouts in the complete-game win.
