GAME ONE BOXSCORE GAME TWO BOXSCORE
The Keuka College baseball team split Tuesday's home doubleheader with Medaille College, winning the first game 16-5 before dropping game two, 21-9 on Kuhl Field.

With the win, Keuka (10-19) has won the most games in a single season since the 2006 team posted a 12-15 record.

Sophomore Jon Borchert (Upper Arlington, OH/Upper Arlington) smacked a pair of home runs over the two games and now has six round-trippers this year. With two games remaining, he is one home run away from matching Frank Saccone's school record of seven, set in 2002.

Borchert, who now has 36 RBI, became the Storm's single-season leader for RBI, snapping Mike Mullins' mark of 34 set in 2003.

Borchert went 3-for-5 with a career-high six RBI and scored three runs, junior Gavin Corbin (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) went 2-for-5 with three RBI and both junior Justyn Schuck (Hammondsport, NY/Hammondsport) and freshman Billy McDermott (Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights) drove in two runs in game one.

Every member of the Storm recorded at least one hit, while Schuck, Borchert and McDermott each had three base hits in the win.

Corbin, senior Keith Prestano (Queens, NY/Xaverian) and sophomores Conner Anderson (Missoula, MT/Sentinel) and Tommy Drumm (Oswego, NY/Oswego) each collected two hits for the Green and Gold.

Corbin plated two runs on a single during a three-run first inning and Borchert added a two-run double while Schuck and McDermott each had RBI singles to spark a four-run second inning.

Leading 7-4 heading into the bottom of the fifth, Borchert hit an RBI double and McDermott delivered an RBI single into right field as Keuka scored three runs to take a 10-4 lead.

After Medaille got one back in the top of the sixth, Keuka scored six runs in the bottom of the inning to seal the win.

Schuck hit an RBI double, Corbin had an RBI single and Borchert smashed a three-run homer as the Green and Gold pulled away for the win.

Sophomore Zach Nobles (Wayland, NY/Wayland-Cohocton) picked up his second win after allowing four runs on three hits in four innings. Junior Greg Starks (Wellsville, NY/Andover) allowed one run on three hits over three effective innings of relief to earn the save.

In the nightcap, Corbin hit an RBI single and Prestano laced an RBI double as Keuka scored three times in the first to take a 3-2 lead into the second inning. Medaille (5-23) was retired in order, and the Storm followed with four runs in the bottom of the inning.

Corbin plated two runs on a triple and Borchert blasted a two-run homer over the left field fence to stake the Storm to a 7-2 lead.

But the Mavericks exploded for six runs in the third, two more in the fourth and fifth innings and seven in the sixth to break open the game.

Corbin was 2-for-3 with three RBI, Borchert was 1-for-3 with three RBI, Prestano was 2-for-3 with two RBI and freshman Tom Fowler (Batavia, NY/Elba) went 3-for-4 in the loss for the Green and Gold.

The Storm close out the schedule with a 2 p.m. doubleheader with Hilbert College Thursday.
