Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

GAME ONE BOXSCORE GAME TWO BOXSCORE
The Keuka College baseball team swept Cazenovia College in dramatic fashion Saturday afternoon to conclude the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) portion of the schedule with the most conference wins since 2009.

Keuka (9-18, 6-8 NEAC) won 7-6 and 14-12 over the Wildcats (11-25, 3-11) on Veteran's Field in Cazenovia, N.Y.

Sophomore Conner Anderson (Missoula, MT/Sentinel) and junior Gavin Corbin (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) each drove in two runs in game one.

The Storm then rallied from a 9-2 deficit behind Corbin's four RBI, freshman Tom Fowler's (Batavia, NY/Elba) three RBI and two RBI apiece from sophomore Jon Borchert (Upper Arlington, OH/Upper Arlington) and freshman Billy McDermott (Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights) to complete the sweep.

It's the most NEAC wins a Storm squad has won since the 2009 team posted a 6-6 mark in conference play. It's also the first time since 2008 that the Green and Gold have won at least nine games in a season.

In the first game, Cazenovia took a 4-0 lead into the top of the fourth before the Storm pushed across three runs in both the fourth and sixth innings. With the bases loaded and no outs in the fourth, senior Keith Prestano (Queens, NY/Xaverian) was hit by a pitch to drive in Keuka's first run and Anderson hit a two-run single to slice the deficit to 4-3.

After the Wildcats tacked on two more runs in the bottom of the fifth, Keuka tied it in the top of the sixth. Anderson was hit by a pitch, junior Kyle McVannan (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) doubled and junior Justyn Schuck (Hammondsport, NY/Hammondsport) walked to load the bases. Corbin hit a two-run single and freshman Kyle Dailey (Yonkers, NY/Yonkers) added an RBI single to knot the score at six.

Junior Jeremy Pyszczynski (Alden, NY/St. Mary's) worked around a leadoff single and kept Cazenovia scoreless in the sixth, then the Storm took the lead in the seventh.

McDermott and Prestano each reached on errors and sophomore Tommy Drumm (Oswego, NY/Oswego) singled to load the bases. Sophomore Dylan Thomas (Kent, OH/Theodore Roosevelt) plated the go-ahead run on a walk, and Pyszczynski closed out the win with a scoreless seventh. He allowed six runs on nine hits with three strikeouts in the complete-game win to improve to 2-3.

In the nightcap, the Storm trailed 9-2 after the first inning, but scored 12 runs in the last five innings to complete the comeback.

McVannan had an RBI single, Schuck had an RBI double, Corbin had an RBI groundout and Fowler drove in a run with a single during a four-run fifth as Keuka pulled within 11-10.

Fowler then delivered a two-run single during a three-run sixth as the Storm took a 13-11 lead. Corbin added an RBI single in the top of the seventh, and while Cazenovia got one run back in the bottom of the inning, McVannan used a pair of fielder's choices to end the game and complete the sweep.

McVannan pitched six innings of relief, allowing three runs on six hits with two strikeouts to improve to 2-6.

The Storm close out the schedule with a pair of home doubleheaders. Keuka hosts Medaille College at 2 p.m. Tuesday before ending the year with a 2 p.m. doubleheader with Hilbert College Thursday.
