Bonafede now has 90 career assists in three seasons and has 24 more assists than the previous record-holder. Smith is the second-leading scorer in school history with 96 career goals. She trails only Brandy Shafer (2008-11), who scored 180 goals in her four-year career.

With 149 career points, Bonafede is second in school history, trailing Shafer (220). Smith moved into fourth place in the school record books with 114 career points.

Freshman Samantha Staino (Brockport, NY/Brockport) and sophomore Kaycee Maguire (Potsdam, NY/Potsdam) each scored a career-high four goals while sophomore Jennifer Burt (Penn Yan, NY/Penn Yan) added a season-most six points (two goals and four assists) to lead the Storm.

Sophomore Ashley Swarts (Arkport, NY/Arkport) caused a career-high five turnovers and senior Courtney French (Massena, NY/Massena) caused three turnovers as the Green and Gold forced Abington (0-10, 0-3) into 20 turnovers.

Smith also won 11 draw controls and scooped up eight groundballs while Swarts collected five groundballs and Maguire had four as the Green and Gold enjoyed a 34-17 edge in groundballs. Keuka also converted on 11 of 12 clear attempts while forcing Abington to miss on nine of its 13 clear attempts.

Neither team scored until Bonafede found a cutting Staino for a goal 5:48 into the contest. Maguire added two goals and Smith scored twice 30 seconds apart as the Storm led 5-0 just 11:19 into the game.

Burt and Staino added goals 25 seconds apart for a 7-0 lead before Tori Kimberly converted a free-position goal with 16:45 remaining in the half to get the Nittany Lions on the board.

But the Green and Gold closed out the half on a 6-0 run and led 13-1 at halftime. Six different student-athletes scored during the run: Staino, Smith, Maguire, junior Caroline Arancio (Clinton, NY/Clinton), sophomore Olivia Hudson (Adams, NY/South Jefferson) and senior Sam Layton (Painted Post, NY/Corning West).
