Box Score Rochester, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Lacrosse team had their first Empire 8 Conference game in Rochester on Friday night.
Keuka College (3-2, 0-1 Empire 8) lost to the St. John Fisher Cardinals 28-4. Four different Wolves scored goals for Keuka,
Nicholas Pipher (Auburn, N.Y. / Auburn),
Matt Jerman (Liverpool, N.Y. / Liverpool),
Dylan DeLucia (Waterloo, N.Y. / Waterloo), and
Harrison Root (Jefferson, N.J. / Jefferson Township).
St. John Fisher University 28 vs. Keuka College 4
The Cardinals got out to a strong start scoring seven goals in the first quarter, while the Wolves looked to get a point on the board.
In the second quarter, senior
Nicholas Pipher found the back of the net to give Keuka their first goal of the game. St. John Fisher continued to extend the lead and would go to halftime up 15-1.
To start the third quarter,
Matt Jerman took advantage of a man-up opportunity and scored for the Wolves just 50 seconds into the half. The Cardinals continued to control the game and ended the third quarter up 23-2.
Starting the quarter off strong,
Robert Hill (Auburn, N.Y. / Auburn) collected a ground ball off the face-off which allowed
Dylan DeLucia to score the third Wolves goal of the game. With four minutes left to play,
Devon Gerhardt (Penn Yan, N.Y. / Penn Yan Academy) assisted a
Harrison Root goal for the final Keuka point of the game. The Wolves lost the first Empire 8 matchup of the season 28-4.
