BROCKPORT, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Lacrosse team closed out its season with a 22-9 loss at SUNY Brockport on Saturday afternoon in an Empire 8 matchup.
Brockport (13-4, 8-1 E8) controlled the game throughout, building an early lead and maintaining separation despite a strong third quarter from the Wolves.
Harrison Root led Keuka College offensively with six goals.
Nikolas Gitsis added a goal and two assists, while
Austin Holsclaw finished with a goal and an assist.
Tre Lloyd recorded a goal for the Wolves. While
Toby Tummino,
Lorenzo Rand and
Aiden Nice all chipped in an assist.
The Wolves showed their best stretch in the third quarter, scoring four goals, but Brockport responded to secure the win.
Keuka College totaled 29 shots with 14 on goal and went 3-for-6 on extra-man opportunities. The Wolves also recorded 23 ground balls and forced 11 caused turnovers.
With six goals against the Golden Eagles,
Harrison Root moved into first all-time in single-season goals with 48, surpassing Joel Johnson '01, who recorded 45. Root is also now tied for fourth all-time in career goals with 98 and continues to climb the program's record book.
