Box Score 2 KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Softball team dropped two games today to Alfred University.
Keuka College (1-13, 0-4 E8) lost the game in five innings to a score of 8-0. In game two Keuka had the lead for a few innings but Alfred University took game two to a score of 4-2.

The Saxons would jump on the board first in the first inning but only cross home plate once. Starting pitcher Emily VanDelinder held the score at one until the fourth inning. The Saxons added two more to the fourth and five in the fifth to make the score 8-0.
The Wolves had opportunities to score but the Saxons defense wouldn't let them cross home plate. The Saxons took the first game 8-0 in five innings.
Lead Wolf: Emily VanDelinder went the distance in the circle for the Wolves. She pitched four innings, allowed four hits, and two earned runs.

Alfred University started things off with one run in the first inning.
The Wolves bats came alive in the third inning. Leading things off was Abby Eising who would reach first on an error. Jordyn Fargo smashed a double to the left field fence. Eising came around to score from first base. Following Fargo is VanDelinder who switched spots with Fargo off a double to the center field fence. The Wolves would take the lead until the fifth inning when the Saxons tied the game.
The Saxons went ahead in the seventh inning to give them two insurance runs. The Green and Golds last at bat wasn't enough as the Saxons took the game 4-2
Lead Wolf: Emily VanDelinder did the job in the batter's box for game two. She was 2-3 at the plate and drove in a run.

- Keuka College and Alfred University are now 8-28 all-time.
- Alfred University is the 6th most played opponent of all-time in Keuka College Softball History.
- In game one Emily VanDelinder snapped her seven game hit streak but restarted it in game two.
