Box Score KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Lacrosse team opened the 2022 season on a high note, defeating Wells College 18-5 in a non-conference game at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.
Keuka College (1-0) had a strong showing from a pair of returners as juniors Sadie Bonetti and Trinity Burton each had four goals in the win.

The Wolves started the season as fast as they possibly could. Grace Morse collected the opening draw, raced down the field unmarked, and scored to give Keuka the lead nine seconds into the game. Morse then set up Sadie Bonetti for the quick goal as the Wolves were off. Keuka opened the game with four straight goals. The Express got on the board midway through the first quarter, but Keuka quickly answered as Trinity Burton scored 27 seconds later to regain the four-goal lead. Keuka tacked on two more before Wells scored in the final seconds, but Keuka led 7-2 after the first.
The Express scored 30 seconds into the second, but then it would be all Keuka. Grace Morse opened the scoring for the Green and Gold in the second. That was followed by goals from Bonetti, Julia Bauder, Burton, and then Morse as the Wolves led 12-3 at the half.
The scoring run continued for the Wolves to start the third as Madeline Greene scored on the man-up. In total, the Wolves scored eight unanswered over 26 minutes to take control of the game. Included in the run, freshman Brooke Bonetti set up her older sister Sadie for a goal. Wells added two late but Keuka carried a 16-5 lead into the fourth.
The Green and Gold saw the game out in the final quarter. Keuka sophomore Sydney Carr accounted for the only two goals of the quarter as Keuka College defeated Wells College 18-5.

- The Wolves improve to 19-1 all-time against their former conference-mates
- Keuka is 10-7 all-time in season openers
- Sadie Bonetti and Brooke Bonetti led with Wolves with five points each. Sadie tied her career-high with four goals and an assist while Brooke had two goals and three assists in her first collegiate game
- Trinity Burton set a new career-best with four goals, as did Sydney Carr with two
- Grace Morse and Julia Bauder also got their first collegiate goals in their first game. Morse finished with three goals and an assist while Bauder had the one tally
- Gabrielle Major set a new personal best with a team-high four assists on Friday
- Annaliese Black made four saves to earn the win in her first collegiate action in goal
Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves will take to the road on Monday to face another former conference-mate. Keuka College will travel to Cazenovia College to face the Wildcats. First draw is set for 4 p.m.
