PITTSFORD, N.Y. —Keuka College lost to #12 ranked St. John Fisher College 20-2 on Wednesday night in an Empire 8 women's lacrosse game at St. John Fisher.

Keuka College (0-2, 0-2 E8) got goals from Madeline Greene and Sydney Bloom. Emily Johnson made 10 saves in goal for the Wolves.

The game would be scoreless for nearly the first five minutes, but St. John Fisher got on the board and did not look back. The Cardinals would score eight goals in a 3:47 span to take control of the game. The Wolves got one attempt in the half on a free-position shot, but it was saved. St. John Fisher led 14-0 at the half.

The Cardinals added four more to start the second before the Wolves got on the board midway through. Sydney Bloom set up Madeline Greene for to goal to make it 18-1. The Wolves added one more goal as Sydney Bloom scored on a free-position shot, but the Wolves would fall 20-2 to the Cardinals.

• Wednesday was the first-ever meeting in women's lacrosse between Keuka and St. John Fisher
• It was just the second time that Keuka College has faced a ranked team in program history. The Wolves previously lost to #4 SUNY Cortland 23-2 in the first round of the 2013 NCAA Tournament
• Emily Johnson's 10 saves sets a new career-high. Johnson also moved into eighth on the Keuka College career saves list
• Jillian Iacovissi and Emily Bogart tied Emily Johnson for the team lead with three groundballs. It set a new career-high for groundballs in a game for all three

Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves will return home on Saturday to host Hartwick College at 2pm. The series between the two schools is tied 3-3 all-time, but the Hawks took the last meeting in 2017.
