Box Score 2 CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. – The Keuka College (3-11, 3,11 E8) lost both games against Russell Sage College on Friday in an Empire 8 Conference matchup.
Russell Sage College 5 vs. Keuka College 4 – Game one
The Wolves would jump right on the board by getting two runs in the first inning. Abby Eising, Abby Kruse, and Emily VanDelinder all singled to load the bases. Jordan Cole would drive the two runs in.
In the second inning, the Wolves added another two runs off of two singles from Shelby Burgess and Danielle Bosch. They would both come around to score off of singles from Eising and Kruse. Making the score 4-0.
The Gators started to chip away at the lead in the third inning by adding two runs. They would then add one more in the fourth to shorten the lead. The Gators added one in the sixth to tie the game and one more in the seventh to win the game 5-4.
Lead Wolf: Starting pitcher Whitney Tyler had 10 strikeouts for the Wolves.
Russell Sage College 10 vs Keuka College 2 – Game two (5 innings)
The Gators would get on the board first in the first inning scoring two runs. Freshman Emily VanDelinder would get things going as she singed through the left side. Cole and Sam Cook would both get hit by a pitch. Hannah DelGatto reached on a fielder's choice and scoring is VanDelinder.
The Wolves would add one more in the third buy the Gators miscues in the field. In the Fourth, the Gators added six runs to extend their lead. The Wolves couldn't get back on the board and Russell Sage College would take the victory, 10-2.
KC Notes:
- Keuka College is now 0-4 all-time against Russell Sage College
- Whitney Tyler has recorded double-digit strikeouts in back to back games
- The Keuka College Softball team had 11 hits in the first game which is a season-high for the Wolves
