Box Score 2 PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The Keuka College Softball (1-3, 1-3 Empire 8) team lost both games against #12 St. John Fisher College (9-1, 4-0 Empire 8) Saturday in an Empire 8 Conference matchup.
St. John Fisher would take the opening game 6-0 and also the second game 11-0.
St. John Fisher College 6 vs. Keuka College 0 - Game one
St. John Fisher would get the first run of the game in the bottom on the second inning. Hayley Gorges (Corning, N.Y. / Corning) singled to left field but the cardinals defense would hold her at first. The Cardinals would add one run in the third, and one in the forth. The Wolves would string together two hits in the top of fifth by senior Shelby Burgess (Hamburg, N.Y. / Frontier) and freshman Abby Eising (Buffalo, N.Y. / Williamsville South) but was unable to execute. The Cardinals would add three more to their lead in the bottom on the inning to make the score 6-0. Whitney Tyler (Meshoppen, Pa / Elk Lake) wouldn't let the Cardinal's offense score any more after that. The Keuka College Softball team couldn't get hits together to get on the board in the seventh inning, St. John Fisher would win 6-0.
Lead Wolf: Starting pitcher Whitney Tyler would have the complete game today striking out three and allowing nine hits.
St. John Fisher College 11 vs. Keuka College 0 – Game two
The Cardinals would get on the board first as they scored three runs in the bottom on the second inning Fisher would add a two more runs in the third inning. Going into the fourth inning the Wolves freshman Abby Kruse (Williamsville, N.Y. / Williasmville South) singled up the middle and fellow freshman Emily VanDeliner (Corning N.Y. / Corning) would work the count and walk but couldn't get a run across the board.
The fourth inning was a big inning for the Cardinals as they added six runs. Jordan Cole (Campbell N.Y. / Campbell-Savona) would lead off the top of the fifth inning singled to right but the Wolves couldn't string hits together to get on the board. The Cardinals would take the victory 11-0 after five.
Lead Wolves: Teammates Jordan Cole, Abby Kruse and Emily VanDelinder would all have one hit on the day.

- The Keuka College Softball team has now faced ranked opponents in five of the last six seasons.
- Following the double header Keuka College has played St. John Fisher 49 times in softball, second-most in program history. Cazenovia is the most frequent opponent with 62 games against Keuka.
- Whitney Tyler is now in sixth place with 156 career strikeouts, career compete games, and is now tied for seventh with 36 career starts.
