Box Score KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Soccer team defeated Elmira College 4-1 on Senior Day at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex on Saturday afternoon.
Four different players scored for Keuka College (3-10-3, 2-3-2 Empire 8) with Elena Paolini, Lindsey Garbacz, Kara Rieger, and Grace DeCapua all recording goals.
Keuka College 4 vs. Elmira College 1
The Wolves controlled possession early in the first half but were unable to put the final attempt together. In total, Keuka College held an 8-1 advantage in shots. The Wolves would break through in the final minutes as the ball worked in from the right side. Carli Zollo slid the ball to Elena Paolini at the edge of the box, straightaway from goal. Paolini tucked it inside the left post for the 1-0 halftime lead.
The Wolves added to their lead in the 54th minute as Peyton Miller won the race for a 50/50 ball with the Soaring Eagles keeper. The freshman took the contact from the goalie and touched the ball to her left to a waiting Lindsey Garbacz with a wide-open goal to make it 2-0. Kara Rieger scored her first career goal as the sophomore let a long kick from 40 yards out go. It slid just under the crossbar, off the keeper's hands, and in to make it 3-0. Minutes later, Elmira pulled one back with a penalty kick, but Grace DeCapua put the game out of reach five minutes after that. Morgan Fuller hit a vertical pass down the left side to DeCapua. Her shot to the far post beat the keeper as Keuka College defeated Elmira College 4-1.

Up Next for Keuka College: Keuka College will close their regular season on the road on Wednesday as they play at St. John Fisher College in a game with big postseason implications. The Wolves will need to defeat the Cardinals to keep their playoff hopes alive.
