EAST SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Keuka College Softball team won their 13th and 14th straight games on Friday, sweeping Cazenovia College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference doubleheader at Carrier Park.

Keuka College (15-7, 12-2 NEAC) took the opener over Cazenovia College 6-1. The Wolves then shutout the Wildcats 5-0 to win game two.

The two teams traded runs in the second inning. Alexa Brown drove in the run for the Wolves with an RBI single, but the game was tied after two.

In the third inning, Keuka College loaded the bases with one out. Maddie Dupuis would clear the bases with a three-run double as Keuka College took a 4-1 lead. She came home on Brown's second RBI single of the game as the Wolves led 5-1.

Keuka College would add an insurance run in the fifth inning with a Jessie Hammers RBI single as Keuka College would continue onto the 6-1 victory.

Lead Wolves: Maddie Dupuis and Alexa Brown did the damage for Keuka in game one. Batting back-to-back in the lineup Dupuis and Brown combined for five hits and five runs batted in against the Wildcats.

Keuka College 5 at Cazenovia College 0

Keuka College took advantage of a Wildcat error to take an early 1-0 lead in game two. Keuka added to that lead in the third with a Mickenzie Palmer RBI to score Hammers and make it 2-0.

In the fourth inning, Alexa Brown tripled to score Maddie Dupuis to give Keuka a 3-0 lead. The Wolves would add two runs in the fifth as Jessie Hammers hit an RBI double and then was driven in by Mickenzie Palmer. The lead was more than enough for starting pitcher Whitney Tyler as Keuka College defeated Cazenovia College 5-0.

Lead Wolf: Whitney Tyler was outstanding in the circle, earning her seventh win of the year for Keuka College. The freshman allowed just six hits and struck out five batters. She did not allow a walk or a run in pitching her third shutout of the season.

• Game one was the 30th career start for Colleen Mooney and her 25th career victory in the circle
• Janessa Vaadi, Danielle Bosch, and Kaitlynn McCarter each had their career-high hitting streaks snapped in game two. Vaadi had the longest of the group, hitting safely in five straight prior to Friday

Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves will close the regular season at home on Sunday. Keuka College will host Morrisville State in a North Eastern Athletic Conference doubleheader starting at noon. The Wolves are 26-3 all-time against the Mustangs and have won the last five meetings.
