Seniors Shine on Women's Lacrosse Senior Day

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The Keuka College Women's Lacrosse team closed the regular season with a 17-7 North Eastern Athletic Conference victory over Bryn Athyn College.

Senior Morgan Bruno set a new career-high on Senior Day for Keuka College (6-7, 5-4 NEAC). Bruno scored a career-best six goals in the win on Saturday. She also added two assists for an eight point game. Fellow seniors Sydney Forshay and Maura Gosson also had big games for the Wolves. Forshay had a five point game with two goals and three assists. Gosson tied her career-high with three goals and added an assist in the win.

Keuka College 17 vs. Bryn Athyn College 7

Keuka College got out to an early lead over Bryn Athyn with a pair of goals in the opening three minutes. After the Lions got on the board, an Abigail Wood goal was sandwiched by a pair of Bruno goals to give Keuka a 5-1 lead. Wood finished with three goals in the game. The Wolves would lead the entire half, holding a 9-6 advantage at the half. The second half was all Keuka College. The Wolves scored the first five goals in the frame to lead 14-6. Bryn Athyn stopped the run halfway through the second, but the Wolves added three more on their way to the 17-7 victory.

Setting the Pace: Keuka College controlled the pace of the game most of Saturday against Bryn Athyn College. The Wolves were a perfect 12-12 in clear attempts and outshot the Lions 45-17.

  • Keuka College has won all three meetings with Bryn Athyn College
  • Goalie Ally Thayer passed Molly Hogan for the most saves in a single season in program history with 141
  • Maura Gosson had a pair of draw controls on Saturday and Elizabeth Sherman finished with four. Both passed Afton Hartung '06 for eighth all-time
  • Sherman also moved into a tie for eighth for most draw controls in a single season with 37

Coming up for Keuka College: The Wolves finished the regular season with a 5-4 record in the North Eastern Athletic Conference. Keuka College currently sits in a tie for fourth place in the conference. The full conference tournament schedule will be announced later on Saturday or on Sunday.
