AURORA, N.Y. – The Keuka College Field Hockey team's record-setting season ended on Saturday, falling to Husson University 8-2 at Wells College in the North Eastern Athletic Conference/North Atlantic Conference Field Hockey Crossover Championship.

Keuka College finished its season with a 5-13 record. Alysa Maddaleno and Madison St. Onge each scored for the Wolves. Kassidy Valentine made 11 saves in goal for Keuka

The Eagles controlled the pace of play early and claimed a 1-0 lead at the 11:32 mark of the first half when sophomore forward Kolby Kain scored on a scrum in front of the Keuka goal. Sadie Royer found the open Kain for the early goal.

Lauren Russell extended the Husson lead after she received a corner from Royer. The second goal came at 30:25 mark in the first half.

Husson's lead would be 3-0 at the half after Taylor Shaw tipped home a Russell pass. The seniors combined to provide insurance before the first half buzzer sounded.

Kassidy Valentine did everything in her power to keep the Wolves within in striking distance by finishing the first half with five saves.

The Eagles started the scoring early in the second half. Off of a Royer shot, Shaw poked home her second goal of the game to give Husson a 4-0 advantage with 30 minutes left in the game.

At the 49:12 mark, Alli Bouget battled through a group of Keuka defenders to pad the Husson lead, 5-0.

After a Wolves' timeout, Alysa Maddaleno got her squad on the board with a goal at 44:29. Keuka College trailed 5-1.

Russell answered back for the Eagles moments later with a goal at 51:10. Mikayla Toth was credited with the assist. Husson lead 6-1.

After a flurry in front of the Husson goal, Madison St. Onge snuck one past the NAC Tournament MVP, Anne Marie Provencal. Alyssa Orsino (Sauquoit, N.Y. / Sauquoit Valley) was tabbed with the assist. The Wolves trailed 6-2 with 19:59 to play.

Sadie Royer would add a late goal for the Eagles. She was the benefactor of a long rebound. Husson's lead was 7-2.

HU found the back of the goal one more time in thanks to Shaw. The 8-2 score would also be the final tally.
