Keuka College Closed Season Against Hartwick College

KEUKA PARK, N.Y — The Keuka College Field Hockey team played their final game of the 2025 season, falling at home to Hartwick College 6-1 in an Empire 8 Conference game.

Brianna Broadwell scored the late tally for Keuka College (2-14, 2-8 Empire 8) with Tori Nelson getting the assist.

Hartwick College had the better of the play in the first quarter, however only two of their four shots were on goal and Nijeylie Torres was there for both of the saves. Keuka College put a late push of offense together in the final minutes but was unable to generate a shot as the game was scoreless after one.

The visitors pressured Keuka right away in the second quarter with a pair of corners in the first minute. Torres made a save on the second one, but the Hawks were there for the rebound and a 1-0 lead. They continued to push and added two more goals to lead 3-0 at the half.

The flow of play continued in the third quarter with Hartwick adding to their lead with a goal.

The Hawks added two more in the fourth before the Wolves got on the board. Off of a corner, Alexis Dodge found Tori Nelson at the top of the circle. She slid the ball to her left, finding Brianna Broadwell on the wing. Broadwell's found the back of the cage to close the season with a goal as the game ended 6-1.

  • The Wolves remain in search of their first victory over Hartwick College in seven attempts
  • Nijeylie Torres finished with five saves for the Wolves
  • The assist by Nelson was the 30th of her career, breaking a tie with Makaela Mills '23 for the career record at Keuka
  • Nelson finished her career as the career record holder in points (66), assists (30), defensive saves (16), and penalty stroke goals (8). She is also tied for the career lead in games played with Mills and teammate Anna Dewey
