Box Score 2 Sophomore Ally Muller (Bath, NY/Haverling) had a career day at the plate and classmate Liz Warren (Elmira Heights, NY/Thomas A. Edison) threw her first career collegiate no-hitter to spark the Keuka College softball team to a sweep of Friday's North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) doubleheader with Morrisville State.
Muller was a perfect 3-for-3 with a career-high six RBI and senior Jill Hart (Cowlesville, NY/Iroquois) was 3-for-4 with three RBI as the Storm defeated the Mustangs 13-5 in the opener.
Muller smacked a two-run home run in the first inning, her second home run in three games, and added an RBI double, a sacrifice fly and a two-run single as the Storm (3-5, 3-1 NEAC) had 13 hits.
Sophomore Mackenzie Cole (Ogdensburg, NY/Ogdensburg Free Academy) added a double and a triple and scored two runs as the Green and Gold scored a season-high 13 runs.
Senior Danielle Gravel (Sidney, NY/Sidney) allowed four earned runs to earn the complete-game win in the opener, her first win of the season.
In the nightcap, Warren was perfect through the first three innings and struck out five batters as the Storm prevailed 2-0.Warren improved to 2-2 and allowed only one Mustang base runner to reach (on an error) as she enjoyed the best outing of her Keuka College career.
Muller had an RBI single in the win for the Green and Gold.
The Storm host the Mustangs Saturday afternoon in their home openers. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m. Keuka College also hosts Cazenovia College Sunday in a NEAC doubleheader.
