MCLA BOXSCORE SUNY CANTON BOXSCORE
The Keuka College women's volleyball team split its two matches during Saturday's Keuka College Invite, defeating the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in four sets before falling to undefeated SUNY Canton in four sets on Day Two of the Invite.

Keuka (4-1) prevailed over MCLA (0-5) in the day's first match, winning 22-25, 25-16, 25-9 and 25-7.

The Storm and the Roos (6-0) split the first two sets of their match, but Canton took the final two sets and won by scores of 25-15, 14-25, 25-12 and 25-18.

Junior Paige Golden (Kent, NY/Albion) combined for 26 digs and 21 kills over the two matches while sophomore Devan Curtis (San Clemente, CA/San Clemente) added 15 kills and 13 digs for the Storm.

Junior Deliane Lessard (Rochester, NY/Genesee Community College) added 14 kills and eight digs while junior Jill Nolan (Johnson City, NY/Maine-Endwell) had 56 combined assists over the two matches for Keuka, which lost after starting the year on a four-match winning streak.

Against MCLA, Golden had another double-double with 13 kills and 10 digs, Curtis added eight kills and five digs while Lessard added eight kills and four digs.

The Storm dropped the first set, only its second dropped set of the season, but rebounded nicely with a convincing three-set stretch where the Green and Gold allowed only 32 points over three sets.

Lessard led the Storm with an impressive .438 hitting percentage, recording her eight kills with only error on 16 attempts. As a team, Keuka compiled 38 kills with 12 errors on 110 attempts (.236 percentage).

Nolan added 29 assists and seven digs, sophomore Dani Alred (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) chipped in four service aces, junior Taylor Smith (Webster, NY/Webster Schroeder) added 11 digs and junior Taylor Wade (Hammondsport, NY/Hammondsport) had seven digs for Keuka.

In the second match, Golden had a team-high 16 digs and eight kills, Curtis added eight digs and seven kills and sophomore Julia Coryell (Phelps, NY/Midlakes) contributed 10 digs for the Storm.

This was the first time Keuka has hosted a non-conference based tournament since 2010, when the Storm split a pair of matches during the day-long Keuka College Halloween Invitational.

The Storm returns to action with a 7 p.m. non-conference clash with the University of Pitt-Bradford Tuesday night inside the Weed Physical Arts Center.
