Sharick's Hat Trick Paces Women's Soccer Win

Senior Nicole Sharick (Corfu, NY/Pembroke) scored a hat trick and moved within one goal of third place on the Keuka College all-time scoring list as the Storm defeated Gallaudet University 4-1 Sunday afternoon in Washington, D.C.

Sharick has scored seven goals in seven games for the Storm (3-4, 3-2 North Eastern Athletic Conference), and has scored all seven of her goals in just three games. She leads the Storm in goals scored and points (15).

For her career, Sharick has 41 goals and trails Tracey Halleran by one for third place on Keuka's all-time goals scored list.

Junior Jessica Bandrowski (Center Moriches, NY/Center Moriches) added a goal and an assist and classmate Stephanie Havens (Unadilla, NY/Unatego)added an assist for Keuka, which constantly peppered Gallaudet goalie Kara Gulvas and outshot the Bison, 35-14.

Sharick staked Keuka to a 1-0 lead with a goal 1:41 into Sunday's contest, but the Bison (1-7, 0-3 NEAC) knotted the game on a 33rd minute score.

Bandrowski gave the Green and Gold the lead for good on a blast from the right side of the field in the 37th minute, and Sharick added a pair of scores during a spell of 14:04 early in the second half to put away Gallaudet.

Sophomore Marriah Gough (Oneida, NY/Stockbridge Valley) allowed the one goal with six saves in 70:44 of action while freshman Maggie Tower (Waterville, NY/home schooled) made two saves in 19:16 of play for the Storm.

Keuka returns to action at 5 p.m. Friday night with a NEAC home contest against Lancaster Bible College.
