SCRANTON, Pa. — The Keuka College Field Hockey team lost on the road on Thursday to Marywood University 5-1 in a non-conference game.
Junior
Mackennah Decker scored the first goal of the season for Keuka College (0-4) with her fourth quarter tally.
Khadeeja Reed made 13 saves in goal for the Wolves.

The Pacers pressed the Wolves from the start of the game on Thursday. Reed made three saves in the first, but Marywood broke through with a goal with three minutes remaining in the frame for the 1-0 lead.
The Wolves held the hosts to one goal by halftime. It was again Reed and the Keuka College defense standing out. The junior goalie added five more saves in the second quarter for nine total at halftime, but the Wolves only trailed by one.
Marywood quickly struck with a goal 40 seconds into the second half and would go on to net four goals in the third to push their lead to 5-0.
Play would flip for the Green and Gold in the final frame. The Wolves got a corner in the fourth and took advantage of it.
Mackennah Decker would score for Keuka on their first shot midway through the quarter to make it 5-1. The Wolves added a pair of shots and a corner later in the fourth but would be held to one as they fell to the Pacers 5-1.

Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves have a quick turnaround before their first conference game of the season. Keuka College will host Elmira College on Saturday at 12 p.m. It will also be Senior Day for the Wolves as they will honor the members of the Class of 2027 in a pregame ceremony from the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.
