BROCKPORT, N.Y. — The Keuka College Softball team lost an Empire 8 Conference doubleheader at SUNY Brockport on Wednesday.
Keuka College (4-13, 2-6 Empire 8) had a late comeback but lost the opener 4-3. The Wolves then fell in the nightcap 5-2 to Brockport.
SUNY Brockport 4 vs. Keuka College 3 – Game 1
The Golden Eagles took advantage of a Keuka College error to take the lead in the first inning. Brockport then added a pair of runs in the second for the 3-0 advantage.
The score would hold at 3-0 until the top of the sixth inning.
Olivia Flynn and
Katie Landers had back-to-back singles for the Wolves. With two outs,
Hailey Jasinski worked a walk to load the bases. First-year
Lindsay Stuck cleared the bases with a three-run double to tie the game.
The lead would be short-lived as SUNY Brockport led off the bottom of the sixth with a solo home run. The Golden Eagles would close it out in the seventh, defeating Keuka 4-3.
SUNY Brockport 5 vs. Keuka College 2 – Game 2
SUNY Brockport took the lead in the first, but the Wolves answered in the third.
Haley Mascho walked for Keuka and moved to second on a passed ball. Mascho was bunted to third by
Sienna Olney and scored on an RBI single by
Katie Landers to tie the game.
Keuka College took the lead an inning later as
Hailey Jasinski singled and stole second. She scored on a Brockport error to give the Wolves a 2-1 lead.
The advantage held until the bottom for the fifth. SUNY Brockport hit a three-run home run with two outs to regain the lead over the Wolves. The Golden Eagles added a run in the sixth to secure the sweep with a 5-2 victory.

- With her single in the first game, junior Hailey Jasinski reached the 100-hit plateau
- Jasinski also entered the top ten in career stolen bases at Keuka College
- Olivia Flynn threw a complete game for the Wolves in game one. She allowed just four hits and one earned run over six innings while striking out three
- With one swing, Lindsay Stuck set a new career high for RBIs in a game
- Olivia Frank doubled for the Wolves in game two
