KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Softball team was swept by St. John Fisher University in an Empire 8 doubleheader at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex on Friday.
Keuka College (4-15, 2-8 Empire 8) dropped the opener 12-1 in five innings. The Wolves then fell late in game two, 12-7.
St. John Fisher University 12 at Keuka College 1 (5 innings) – Game 1
The Cardinals struck first with a two-run home run in the opening inning and did not look back from there.
Trailing 3-0, the Wolves pushed a run across in the third.
Katie Landers doubled and then moved to third on an error.
Hailey Jasinski followed with a bunt single to score Landers and make it 3-1.
However, St. John Fisher answered with three runs in the fourth. The Cardinals then added six in the fifth as they defeated the Wolves 12-1.
St. John Fisher University 12 at Keuka College 7 – Game 2
St. John Fisher carried the momentum into game two, scoring a run in the top of the first. The Wolves responded in the bottom of the inning. The combo of Landers and Jasinski did it again for Keuka.
Katie Landers singled for the Wolves.
Hailey Jasinski then drove the ball over the fence for her fifth home run of the season to make it 2-1.
Keuka College added to their lead an inning later as
Gabby Glanville walked and stole second. She scored on an RBI groundout by
Cali Knapp.
After St. John Fisher pulled one back in the top of the third, the Wolves responded in a loud way in the bottom of the inning. Landers singled for the Green and Gold and moved to third on a double by
Hailey Jasinski. They both came home on a drive by
Lindsay Stuck, the first-year's first career home run.
The Cardinals continued to cut into the Keuka College lead. St. John Fisher tied it in the sixth inning, but the Wolves came right back.
Cali Knapp walked for the Green and Gold.
Olivia Flynn followed with a single. Knapp scored on single by
Katie Landers to take a 7-6 lead. The Wolves looked to add more, but Keuka would leave the bases loaded.
As the rain continued to fall, it began to impact the game in the field. The Cardinals would take advantage of a couple Keuka walks and errors to plate six in the seventh inning and take a 12-7 lead.
Parker Marshall singled to lead off the seventh, but she would be left stranded as St. John Fisher closed it out to finish the sweep.

- The Wolves fall to 7-51-1 all-time against St. John Fisher. The 59 games played are the second-most for Keuka College Softball against any single opponent. The Green and Gold have faced Cazenovia College 64 times
- Olivia Flynn's single in game two was the 120th of her career as the senior moved to eighth on the career hits list at Keuka
- Hailey Jasinski moved to sixth on the career home run list with seven over her first three seasons
- Julia Spencer struck out three in two innings of work in game one for Keuka
- Katie Landers recorded the first three-hit game of her career in game two. The junior has recorded a hit in nine of the last ten games for the Wolves
Up Next for Keuka College: The Green and Gold will be on the road on Saturday as they face Nazareth University. The Wolves swept the Empire 8 doubleheader in 2024 against Nazareth, but the Golden Flyers swept the Wolves last season.
