HOUGHTON, N.Y. — The Keuka College Softball team was swept on Friday at Houghton University in an Empire 8 doubleheader.
Keuka College (6-21, 4-14 Empire 8) lost a close one in the opener 2-1. Offenses then opened up in game two with Houghton completing the sweep 15-9.

The Wolves took the early lead as
Olivia Flynn reached on an error and was bunted to third. She scored on a sacrifice fly by
Hailey Jasinski for the early lead.
Houghton answered with a run in the bottom of the first and then took the lead with one in the second.
Keuka got the tying run to third base in the top of the seventh, but a strikeout ended the game in favor of the Highlanders.

A sacrifice fly again opened the scoring for the Wolves with a run in the first as
Lindsay Stuck got the RBI. Houghton answered with three runs in the bottom of the frame to take the lead.
The Wolves tied the game in the third as they plated a pair of runs on four hits.

Grace Eagen each had a run-scoring single in the inning for Keuka.
The tied game was short-lived as Houghton took advantage of Keuka walks to score four runs on just one hit and no errors in the bottom of the inning to take a 7-3 lead.
Keuka College pulled within one in the fourth and then took the lead in the fifth on a two-run triple by
Hailey Jasinski. However, six runs came in for Houghton in the bottom of the frame. The game was in hand for the Highlanders.
Lena Ramos added an RBI single for Keuka, but the Wolves would fall 15-9 at Houghton.
Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves will be home on Sunday for an Empire 8 doubleheader against Alfred University. It will be Senior Day for the Wolves with a special ceremony in between the games. First pitch between Keuka and Alfred is set for 1 p.m.
