KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Softball team hosted Alfred University for senior day on Sunday in an Empire 8 doubleheader.
Keuka College (6-23, 4-16 Empire 8) dropped both games to the Saxons, falling 6-2 in the opener before losing game two 15-4.
Alfred University 6 vs. Keuka College 2 – Game 1
The Wolves broke through first at the bottom of the third, with runs from
Olivia Flynn and
Hailey Jasinski to take the early advantage.
Alfred responded in the fourth inning, plating two runs to even the game at 2-2.
The Saxons took control late, scoring two runs in the sixth to grab the lead before adding a pair of insurance runs in the seventh.
Keuka College totaled eight hits in the game but could not find a late push as Alfred secured the 6-2 victory.

Alfred struck first with two runs in the second inning, but Keuka College answered in the bottom half.

Grace Eagen and
Haley Mascho opened the inning with three straight singles before
Gabby Glanville reached on an error to bring in two runs and tie the game.
The Saxons broke the game open in the fourth inning, scoring eight runs on six hits and two Keuka errors to take a 10-2 lead.
Alfred added five more runs in the fifth inning to extend the advantage.
The Wolves continued to battle in the bottom of the fifth.
Olivia Flynn and
Hailey Jasinski singled before
Giana Mruczek loaded the bases with another single.
Grace Eagen followed with a two-run single, scoring
Lena Ramos and Flynn, but Alfred closed out the 15-4 win in five innings.
