ALBANY, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Lacrosse team rallied from a four-goal second-half deficit but ultimately fell at Russell Sage 10-8 in an Empire 8 game on Saturday.
Harrison Root led the Wolves with a hat trick, while
Tre Lloyd added two goals and an assist.
Aiden Nice finished with a goal and an assist,
Austin Holsclaw posted a goal and an assist.
Cam Hovater also scored for Keuka College. While,
Jaxson Tucker made 13 saves in goal for the Green and Gold.
Russell Sage 10 vs Keuka College 8
Keuka College struck first as Hovater scored midway through the opening quarter, and the Wolves extended the lead to 3-0 in the second on goals by Holsclaw and Root. Russell Sage answered with three straight goals late in the half to send the game into the break tied 3-3.
The Gators carried that momentum into the third quarter, scoring four times to build a 7-3 advantage. Lloyd stopped the run with a late goal for the Wolves to make it 7-4 heading into the fourth.
Keuka College made a push in the final quarter. Nice scored on the man-up, Lloyd added another, and Root tied the game at 7-7 with nine minutes to play. Russell Sage responded with three of the next four goals to regain control, and Root scored again in the final 30 seconds for the 10-8 final.

- The Wolves finished 2-for-3 on extra-man opportunities and went 18-for-19 on clears
- Russell Sage held a 40-29 edge in shots and won 12 of the 18 faceoffs
- With 13 saves today, Jaxson Tucker now moves into second all-time in saves in a season with 194 and now holds the top two spots in program history
- Tucker has also moved to sixth all-time in career save with 394 career saves
