The Green and Gold struck first and controlled the early momentum. Tre Lloyd opened the scoring midway through the first quarter off a feed from Austin Holsclaw before Holsclaw returned the favor later in the frame to give Keuka College a 2-0 advantage after one.

Lycoming responded early in the second quarter, but the Wolves answered quickly. Harrison Root scored twice in the period and Holsclaw added his second goal to help Keuka build a 5-3 lead heading into halftime.

The Warriors chipped away in the third quarter, cutting the deficit to one on multiple occasions, but Root continued his strong offensive performance for the Wolves. Two more goals from Root helped Keuka College maintain a narrow 7-6 lead entering the final quarter.

Just 15 seconds into the fourth quarter, play was halted due to lightning, resulting in a 45 minute rain delay. After play resumed, Root extended the Keuka lead to 8-6, but Lycoming quickly shifted the momentum. The Warriors scored three straight goals to take their first lead of the game and then added to the run as the quarter continued. Root pulled the Wolves back within one with just over four minutes remaining, but Lycoming closed the game with three late goals to secure the 12-9 victory.
