Keuka established control early behind strong draw work from
Liz Spin and steady play in net from
Lauren Vitello, who turned away multiple early shots to keep the Wolves in front.
Rylie Pratt opened the scoring at 8:31, and
Lainie Forde quickly made Hilbert pay on the advantage at 7:15 off a feed from
Brooklyn Ayers. After Hilbert capitalized on a brief man-up opportunity, Keuka responded immediately, as Forde struck twice more — including another man-up finish at 5:28 and a late goal with 24 seconds remaining — to cap a four-goal opening frame and give the Wolves a 4-1 edge.
The Wolves broke the game open in the second, outscoring Hilbert 6-0 while dominating possession off the draw. Spin and Pratt sparked the surge, connecting for back-to-back assisted goals, while Forde continued to anchor the attack with multiple finishes inside. Ayers added a goal in the final seconds to punctuate the half, and the Keuka defense held Hilbert without a shot on goal in the quarter. Vitello remained sharp when called upon, and the Wolves carried commanding momentum and a 10-1 lead into the break.
Hilbert struck first in the third, but Keuka answered almost immediately as Forde converted off another Ayers assist just 39 seconds later. That response ignited a 3-0 run, highlighted by goals from
Raegan Weissinger and Forde, pushing the advantage to double digits. The Wolves' defensive pressure continued to force turnovers, and Vitello made several key saves midway through the frame to prevent any shift in momentum as Keuka extended the lead to 13-2 entering the fourth.
Keuka continued to dictate tempo in the final period, with Spin opening the scoring before Forde added a man-up goal midway through the quarter. The Wolves' draw control and transition play limited Hilbert's opportunities, and the defense closed strong in front of Vitello. Spin capped the afternoon with her third goal late in the fourth, sealing a dominant 16-2 season-opening victory for the Wolves.
