Keuka College Baseball Drops Doubleheader at St. John Fisher

PITTSFORD, N.Y. — The Keuka College Baseball team lost an Empire 8 Conference doubleheader at St. John Fisher University on Sunday afternoon.

The Wolves lost the opener 22-2 in game one and then fell in the nightcap 19-2.

In game one, the Cardinals used a six-run second and an eight-run fourth to take control of the game. Keuka College (4-11, 0-5 Empire 8) plated a pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth off the bat of Evan Cuba.

St. John Fisher added multiple runs in the next two innings to secure the victory. Nate Hill and Jackson Loper each had hits for the Wolves.

In game two, St. John Fisher again took the lead early as they led 10-0 going into the bottom of the third. Nate Hill walked with two outs in the bottom of the frame and came all the way around to score on a double by Derek Novicki.

The Cardinals expanded their lead. Novicki drove in another run for the Wolves in the fifth on a sacrifice fly, but the lead was too much as St. John Fisher defeated Keuka College 19-2 in seven innings.

The two teams will complete their Empire 8 series on Monday with a nine-inning game at St. John Fisher University.
