UTICA, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Lacrosse team fell on the road in Empire 8 play, falling 15-2 at SUNY Poly on Saturday afternoon.
Harrison Root and
Nikolas Gitsis each scored for Keuka College (5-3), while
Tre Lloyd added a pair of assists to lead the Wolves offensively.
Jaxson Tucker made 15 saves in goal for the Green and Gold.

The Wildcats jumped out to a fast start, scoring six times in the opening quarter to take control early. Keuka College broke through late in the frame as Root converted on the man-up opportunity off a feed from Lloyd to get the Wolves on the board.
In the second quarter, SUNY Poly extended their lead with another six goals, but Keuka College answered early as Gitsis finished a pass from Lloyd to make it 7-2. Despite the response, the Wildcats continued to capitalize offensively, taking a 12-2 advantage into halftime.
The second half saw a stronger defensive effort from the Green and Gold. Tucker made several key saves, including six in the fourth quarter, as Keuka limited SUNY Poly to just three goals over the final 30 minutes. However, the Wolves were unable to generate offense down the stretch as SUNY Poly secured the conference victory.
Keuka College finished with 14 shots and won the faceoff battle 11-9, but 43 turnovers and 53 shots allowed proved to be the difference in the game.
