KISSIMMEE, Fla. — The Keuka College Softball team lost a pair of games on Tuesday while on their spring trip to Florida.
Keuka College (1-4) was topped by Edgewood University in game one 14-8 and then fell to Rutgers-Camden 7-3 in the second game.
Edgewood University 14 vs. Keuka College 8
The Eagles loaded the bases to start the game, but the Wolves were able to limit them to only one run. In the bottom of the inning, Keuka quickly took the lead as
Olivia Flynn walked and then scored on a home run to left by
Hailey Jasinski.
Edgewood tied the game in the top of the third and threatened for more. However, the Eagles hit a line drive to short.
Hailey Jasinski caught the ball in the air and stepped on the base for the double play to end the inning.
The combo of Flynn and Jasinski teamed up again in the third inning. Flynn led off with a single and was bunted to second by
Katie Landers. She then scored on a double to the right field fence by
Hailey Jasinski. She later scored when
Grace Eagen singled to make it 4-2 Keuka.
After the Eagles tied the game in the fifth, the Wolves took the lead right back.

Parker Marshall then delivered the big hit as she hit a two-run single to give the Wolves an 8-4 lead.
Edgewood would score nine runs in the sixth to take a 13-8 lead over the Wolves. The Eagles added a run in the seventh and kept Keuka off the scoreboard as they defeated the Wolves 14-8.
Rutgers-Camden 7 vs. Keuka College 3
The Wolves jumped out to a quick lead in game two against Rutgers-Camden.
Katie Landers was hit by the pitch, and
Hailey Jasinski walked. After both moving up on a wild pitch, Landers scored on a single by
Julia Spencer.
Grace Eagen followed with an RBI groundout as the Wolves took a 2-0 lead.
The Scarlet Raptors took the lead with three runs in the second inning and added a fourth an inning later as they held a 4-2 advantage over Keuka after three.
The Wolves pulled one back in the fifth.
Haley Mascho was hit by the pitch to start the inning.
Gabby Glanville followed with bunt single.
Olivia Flynn had an RBI single for the Wolves. With one out and they tying and go-ahead runs on base, Rutgers-Camden decided to intentionally walk
Hailey Jasinski to load the bases. The move worked for the Scarlet Raptors as they got a pair of outs to maintain the 4-3 advantage.
Rutgers took the momentum from escaping the inning to the plate as they scored three runs in the bottom of the frame to push their lead to 7-3. They would hold on to win by that score.

- Tuesday was the first-ever softball matchup for Keuka College against either school
- Both Olivia Frank and Parker Marshall recorded their first collegiate hits in game one
- Hailey Jasinski's double in the opener was the 24th of her career, tying her for sixth on the career list at Keuka
- Katie Landers had a hit in each game to extend her career-high hitting streak to five games
- Lizzie Kocsis made her first career appearance in the circle for the Wolves in relief against Rutgers-Camden. She went four innings with a pair of strikeouts
Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves have an off day on Wednesday before returning to the diamond on Thursday morning. Keuka College will face Alverno College and then play another in-state foe in Buffalo State to end the day.
