Wolves Lose Back-to-Back on Day Two
POTSDAM N.Y.— Keuka College women's volleyball dropped both games against Clarkson University won 0-3 and Plattsburgh won 2-3 on day two of the North Country Classic.
 
Junior Nina Scott led the Wolves in kills and aces with 11 and two respectively against Clarkson. She then went on to put up 15 kills, six aces and three blocks against Plattsburgh. Sophomore Summer Elza led in assists for the Green and Gold all day with 14 against Clarkson and 18 against Plattsburgh.

The Wolves kept it close in the first set but the Golden Knights went on a four-point run to create some separation and finished the set winning 25-20. In the second set, Clarkson led nearly the entire set since the score was tied 2-2 and went on to win 25-11. The Wolves fought hard in the third set, but it wasn't enough as the Golden Knights finished the sweep and won 25-23.
 
Keuka College 2 vs. Plattsburgh 3
 In the first set, the Wolves found themselves down big but went on a five-point run to even it up at 15 then eventually won the set 28-26. The Wolves and Cardinals found themselves dead even 13-13 in the beginning of the second set, but Plattsburgh went on a five-point run to gain momentum and win the set 25-17. In the third, the Green and Gold led the entire set and went on to win 25-16 and take a 2-1 advantage. Plattsburgh returned the favor in the fourth set leading the entire way and winning 25-14 to tie the series. In the fifth and final set, the Cardinals started off fast, taking a five-point lead early. But Keuka College rallied to tie it 8-8. After a back and forth back second half of the fifth set and seven total ties, the Wolves couldn't hold on as Plattsburgh finally won 16-14.
 
Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves will head to Rochester, N.Y. to face Wheaton College on Friday, September 12 for their first game at the University of Rochester Invitational.
