Fredonia State took shots from all angles against the Wolves on Saturday. The Blue Devils outshot the Wolves 19-1 in the opening frame. However, only four of those shots were on goal, and Wilder was there to save them all as the game was scoreless at the half.
The same pattern played out in the second half, and again, Wilder was there for the Wolves. Keuka College got a chance in the 78th minute as
Rilee Nunan was fouled, giving the Wolves a free kick 30 yards from goal.
Anna Leone took the kick and dropped the ball under the crossbar but over the keeper for Keuka's first goal of the season. The lead would be short-lived, however, as Fredonia snuck a ball inside the right post five minutes later to tie the game. The two teams would finish in a draw.
KC Notes:
- The draw snapped a four-game winning streak for Fredonia over Keuka College
- It was Anna Leone's first collegiate goal
