Keuka College 1 vs. Hilbert College 1
The Wolves had the first quality chance of the game.
Rosie Wallace stepped in front of a Hilbert goal kick and passed it directly to
Rilee Nunan. Nunan let a strong shot rip from 25 yards out, but it went just left of goal. The Wolves threatened again ten minutes later as
Kelsey Davis sent a cross in from the right wing.
Ava Watt was crashing the goal, but the keeper came off her line and denied the opportunity. Keuka controlled possession in the opening half, but the game remained scoreless at the break.
Keuka threatened early in the second half as well.
Ava Watt ran the ball down on the end line, right of the goal. She played the ball back to
Rilee Nunan, but Nunan's shot just missed the upper right corner. The Wolves broke through in the 58th minute.
Delaney Szostak sent an out-swinging corner kick into the box. The ball found the head of
Lydia Lane, who nodded it past the keeper for the 1-0 advantage. The Wolves looked to close the game out, but Hilbert snuck a through ball behind Keuka's back line in the 78th minute to tie the game. The Hawks had a chance to take the lead minutes later as Keuka's goalie,
Payton Malec, went down injured during the run of play. Hilbert possessed the ball and got a shot off against the empty goal, but
Delaney Goodenow was able to track back and block the shot. The Wolves had a chance to win the game in the final seconds, but a free kick was sent just over the crossbar as the final buzzer sounded.
