KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Lacrosse team lost to Alfred University 12-2 on Saturday afternoon at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.

The Wolves controlled possession in the opening period, holding a 5-1 edge in draw controls. At the spot was Liz Spin. The sophomore set a new career-high with four controls in the game. However, it did not translate to the scoreboard as Alfred scored the first four goals for the advantage. Grace Morse got the Wolves on the board with Maddie Fassinger getting the assist. The Wolves trailed 4-1 after the first quarter.

Alfred matched the open for the Wolves in the second quarter, going 5-1 on draw controls. However, the result on the scoreboard was the same. The Saxons outscored the Wolves 4-1 in the frame with Morse getting the only Keuka College goal. Alfred led 8-2 at the half.

The Saxons saw the game out in the second half. They added a goal in the third and three in the fourth. The Wolves pressured the goal, but Alfred's goalie made 10 saves in the second half. The Saxons defeated the Wolves 12-2.

Up Next for Keuka College: The Green and Gold are on the road on Wednesday with a non-conference game at SUNY Morrisville. The Wolves are then back home for an Empire 8 Conference game next Saturday as they host Hartwick College.
