BROCKPORT, N.Y. — The Keuka College Baseball team lost at SUNY Brockport 9-0 in a non-conference game on Tuesday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles jumped out with four runs in the first and two in the second for the early advantage. They added three in the fourth to cap the scoring in the game.
Keuka College (8-25, 5-10 Empire 8) managed just a pair of hits against the Brockport pitchers.
Matt Vaccaro singled in the sixth to break up the no-hitter.
Tyler Lewandowski added a two-out double in the eighth for the Wolves.
The Wolves used a pitcher an inning as they recovered from the weekend series with Russell Sage and stayed focused on the upcoming Empire 8 series at Utica.
Highlighting the efforts was
DJ Bruni who had a strikeout and didn't allow a run in his inning of work. First-year
JR Radomski pitched a perfect eighth for the Wolves.
Keuka College has three games remaining in the regular season. They will start their Empire 8 series at Utica University on Saturday with a doubleheader. They will then close the regular season with a single game on Sunday.
The Wolves continue to control their destiny for the Empire 8 Tournament. If Keuka College takes all three games from the Pioneers, they will earn the fourth seed in the conference tournament.
