UTICA, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Lacrosse team lost on Wednesday night at Utica University 16-10 in an Empire 8 Conference game.

Tre Lloyd each had two goals and an assist in the loss for Keuka College (5-5, 0-3 Empire 8).

The Pioneers took the lead in the first minute on Wednesday, but the Wolves pressed for the answer. Keuka rang a pair of shots off the post and the Pioneers regained possession and scored their second.
Dylan DeLucia got the Wolves on the board, but Utica answered with two straight to push the lead to 4-1.
Tre Lloyd got his first of the game to make it 4-2, but Utica scored in the final minute to carry a three-goal lead into the second.
The second quarter was an evenly matched frame with both teams near each other in shots and each team netting a pair of goals. Gerhardt and Pipher had the tally for the Wolves. Utica led 7-4 at the half.
The Pioneers came out of halftime strong and took control of the game. Utica scored four goals over a 97-second span to open their lead to 11-4.
Matt Jerman snapped the run, scoring on the man-up, to cut it to 11-5. However, Utica outscored Keuka 8-3 in the frame to carry a 15-7 lead into the final quarter.
After Utica scored the opening goal of the fourth, Keuka College scored three straight while holding the Pioneers off the board for the final ten minutes. However, the Wolves were not able to come all the way back as they fell to the Pioneers 16-10.
Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves remain on the road in conference this weekend with a game at Alfred University. The Wolves and Saxons will continue a series that started in 1989 but has seen Alfred win the last four meetings.
