UTICA, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Lacrosse team played their first Empire 8 Conference game of the 2024 season. Keuka College (1-6, 0-1 Empire 8) lost to the Utica Pioneers 21-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The Pioneers found their offensive stride early in the game and went up to a quick 10-0 lead in the first quarter, then extended it to 15-0 at the break. Keuka slowed the pace during the second half, keeping the Pioneers to just six goals.
Liz Spin (Auburn, N.Y. / Auburn) and
Jill McGinley (Syracuse, N.Y. / East Syracuse-Minoa) collected two ground balls and two draw controls a piece for the Wolves.
Lauren Vitello (Webster, N.Y. / Webster Schroeder) was credited with four saves in goal.
Up Next for Keuka College: The Green and Gold will return to the Jephson Community Athletic Complex on Wednesday, April 3 for a home game against St. John Fisher. The game is set for a 7 p.m. start and will be played under the lights for the first time this season.
