KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — Keuka College's first-year goalie
Lauren Vitello made 14 stops in goal for the Wolves, but the Women's Lacrosse team lost to Buffalo State 15-3 at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex on Wednesday.
Meghan Johnson recorded her first collegiate goal and assist for Keuka College (0-3).
Julia Bauder and
Jill McGinley also found the back of the net for the Wolves.

The Bengals jumped out to the quick lead, scoring four goals in the opening four minutes for the advantage. The Wolves took advantage of their first shot in the game. On the quick clear,
Tori Nelson passed to
Meghan Johnson in front of the goal to score for the Wolves. The momentum was short-lived for the Green and Gold as the Bengals won the next draw and answered back with a goal 29 seconds later to make it 5-1.
Buffalo State outshot Keuka College 10-2 in the second quarter. Vitello made three stops for the Wolves, but the Bengals added three goals to lead 8-1 at the half.
Maddie Fassinger won the opening draw of the second half as the Wolves played on the advantage.
Meghan Johnson found
Jill McGinley later in the possession for the goal to make it 8-2. Buffalo State pushed the lead back to 9-2 but Keuka responded less than a minute later as
Julia Bauder won the draw control and scored for her second of the season to make the score 9-3. However, Buffalo State added two goals in the closing five minutes to take an 11-3 lead into the final quarter.
The Bengals saw the game out in the fourth. They outscored the Wolves 4-0 in the frame on their way to the 15-3 victory.

Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves will remain at home when they next face SUNY Fredonia on Saturday, March 16. The two teams met for the first time last season with the Blue Devils earning a 20-5 victory in Fredonia. The Wolves and Blue Devils are slated for a 1 p.m. start from the Jephson Community Athletic Complex on Saturday.
